Conscious Conferencing is a full conference package that takes into account environmental issues from the booking to the actual initiation of the conference. From the completely electronic booking process to a commitment by both yourself and Spier to eliminate paper and unnecessary travel during the booking and actual conference, the Spier Conscious Conference package is the way of the future, available now at Spier.
Menu options will include fresh, seasonal, local and organic food thus reducing travelling distance for food and where possible reducing and eliminating pesticides which are harmful to people as well as the environment. Any leftover food will be distributed to those in the community who are in need.
Water bottles will be refillable, and empty bottles will all be recycled. Bins for recyclables and non recyclables will be clearly marked and placed within the conference venue. Other bins will be placed in the venue for stationary not required after the conference. You will be asked that all stationary not required be placed in these bins so it can be distributed to local schools in need of this equipment.
